Overview
We're looking for a highly capable Data / Business Analyst with strong AWS experience to support a key project within the financial services sector. This role requires someone who excels at gathering and translating business requirements, understands modern data environments on AWS, and can confidently manage stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, experience working with AWS-native data services, and exceptional interpersonal skills someone who can "read the room", gauge stakeholder sentiment, and adjust communication style accordingly.
Key Responsibilities

Data Engineer / Analysis

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, drive clarity, and ensure alignment across teams.
• Develop process maps, data flow diagrams, user stories, and documentation.
• Provide insights that shape solution design and support decision-making.
• Act as a bridge between business users, data engineers, and architects.

AWS Data Analysis & Support

• Work with AWS-native data services including Lambda, S3, and related analytics components.
• Understand data ingestion, transformation, and operational processes in AWS environments.
• Assist in validating and interpreting data outputs from AWS pipelines.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to ensure requirements align with platform capabilities.
• Support troubleshooting, data review, and testing activities.

AWS Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of AWS data services, especially:
  • AWS Lambda
  • Amazon S3
  • (Bonus) Glue, Athena, Redshift, Step Functions
• Ability to understand data flows, integrations, and cloud-based architecture fundamentals.
• Comfort working alongside cloud engineers and data teams.
