Description
About the RoleAs a Field Services Engineer, you provide on-site IT support in an office and corporate environment.
Your mission is to ensure continuity of end-user devices, meeting-room technologies, collaboration tools and local infrastructure (network rooms, datacenter, connectivity).
You will work closely with end users, global IT teams and external vendors in a structured environment with high standards for quality and security.
This job is for people who have at least 3 years of experience in deskside support or field services.
Cognizant works in Digital Workplace & Field Services, supporting IT operations across multiple corporate and industrial client sites.
This job is offered as a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC), with a preferred start date on April 1st.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve incidents (break-fix) on Windows workstations, peripherals, printers and scanners.
- Install, configure and maintain hardware and software: Windows, O365, business applications, mobility tools.
- Deliver Smart Hands activities: rack & stack, cabling/patching, vendor coordination, access to IDF/MDF/MMR rooms and datacenters.
- Support controlled power-down operations and assist with shutdown/restart of network and server equipment.
- Perform data collection and preservation tasks for migrations and eDiscovery.
- Ensure availability of essential services: LAN, Wi-Fi, video conferencing, printing.
- Manage the full IT asset lifecycle: receiving, secure storage, labelling, imaging (Windows/Mac), allocation, recovery, wiping and disposal.
- Apply internal quality and security standards.
We are looking for
- minimum 3 years of experience in deskside support or field services.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, O365 and productivity tools.
- Good understanding of SCCM and workstation management.
- Knowledge of networking basics, mobility (Android/iOS) and MacOS imaging/deployment.
- Strong diagnostic and advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-service mindset.
- Fluent French and professional English.
- IT degree; ITIL certification appreciated.
- Experience with Smart Hands / Datacenter activities.
- Experience with conference room technology or collaborative tools.
- High attention to quality and detail.
This job is onsite, and you must work on the client's location (Rueil-Malmaison).
