Description
Requisition ID: 65245 Title: Global Demand Planner IArthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking a Global Demand Planner I. This role will be responsible for demand planning specific product groupings in conjunction with the S&OP process, ensuring the company strategy is encompassed in a usable demand plan. Interaction and cooperation with Product Management, Domestic and International sales and operations teams, Finance, Supply Chain, and S&OP will be vital to success in this role. The demand planner is the key position to ensuring forecast accuracy to help Arthrex continue to grow and achieve our top-line goal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.
- Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns, business trends, and market intelligence.
- Work with Global customers, sales team and product management to improve forecast accuracy.
- Responsible for collecting all additional demand forecasts for assigned product lines and communicating the demand to Supply Chain Buyers and Product Managers.
- Works closely with Supply Chain counterparts to ensure global forecasts are executed upon and provide global market inputs where needed.
- Involved in all new MPIs for assigned product groups.
- Schedule monthly forecast meetings with all customers as required.
- Maintains and reviews Forecast vs. Actual usage for assigned products.
- Liaison for IT for all demand planning-related projects and business development.
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend action plans.
- Utilize analytical, marketing, sales, and purchasing knowledge to effectively plan future increases or decreases of product demands.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Supply Chain teams to effectively manage demand planning during product phase-in/phase-out.
- Global project engagement with IT, Supply Chain, Regional Sales, and Operations teams.
- Direct involvement in S&OP process and converting S&OP topics into usable demand plan.
- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge for assigned product groups.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Finance or Supply Chain
- Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain or S&OP preferred
- Experience in Demand Planning within the Medical Device or similar industry is a plus
Skills:
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel • IBM Planning Analytics and SAP experience is a plus
- Able to generate non-complex forecast trend analysis
- Good communication, both written and verbal
Knowledge:
Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Reasoning Ability:
Provides routine forecasts of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
Discretion / Latitude:
Work is closely supervised. Follows specific, detailed instructions and specific direction.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
