This opportunity offers a rare chance to lead major infrastructure delivery while shaping Mount Isa City Council’s long-term capital program.

Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, the Manager Major Projects will lead the delivery of Council’s most significant infrastructure programs. With responsibility for a skilled team of project managers and engineers, the role plays a pivotal part in shaping the city’s built environment and will support major initiatives such as water network upgrades, community facility enhancements, and regional economic development projects.
You will bring contemporary experience managing multiple concurrent infrastructure projects ideally gained within local government or a similar regional environment. Your strong understanding of legislative, policy and project delivery assurance frameworks underpins your background spanning full project lifecycles, from inception to delivery and acquittal, supported by tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, architecture, or project management.
