Job Purpose and Impact
As a shift Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in keeping the site running smoothly by maintaining the reliable operation of the process plants, including a CHP facility. You will carry out a variety of multiskilled maintenance tasks across liquid, slurry and food processing equipment, with training and support provided to help you develop your skills where needed.
This is a shift based role operating on a 12 hour pattern, covering days and nights.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
- Be multi-skilled in both Electrical & Instrument and Mechanical maintenance and be committed to continuous development as necessary.
- Undertake training to multi-skill and in Predictive Maintenance Tasks.
- Work safely and in full compliance with site safety, hygiene and quality standards
- Support and follow CHP routines as required
- Accurately record work using the site maintenance management system SAP
- Communicate effectively with production and shift management teams
About You
You will be a time served engineer with experience working in a manufacturing or process environment. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced, safety critical setting and be open to developing your skills across multiple disciplines.
Minimum requirements
- BTEC HNC, level 3 or equivalent in engineering discipline
- Fully completed a recognized trade certification in either electrical/instrument/mechanical engineering and have multi-skilling experience
- Experience working in a large scale manufacturing or processing plant
- Multiskilling experience or a strong willingness to cross skill
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- A strong safety first mindset
Desirable
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or process industries
- Exposure to CHP operations
- BOAS certification or willingness to work towards it
Shift Pattern:
Working within a 5 SHIFT SYSTEM - 4 on 4 off, 4 on 6 off , 2 x 18 days breaks each year.
