POSITION SUMMARY

CVS Health Digital is looking for hands-on, passionate people who want to join a high energy and growing team to make a difference in customers' lives and who want to be on the forefront of digital innovation that aims to reinvent what a pharmacy and a health care company can be in the digital world. Currently, we are seeking a Senior AI Analyst within our CVS Health Pharmacy Consumer Wellness (PCW) Engineering team. This Analyst will provide technical leadership and work with the team to build high-quality, usable products to customers and stakeholders. You will help provide input to product roadmap, technical design, oversee engineering practices, and lead product build using agile (Scrum, Agile) software development practices and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. This Senior AI Analyst will participate in feature refinement sessions with key stakeholders to ensure the specified needs are clearly articulated, gaps identified and propose adjustments as needed. You will also maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice.

Responsibilities for the Role

• Design, develop, and maintain both front-end interfaces and backend services with AI capabilities
• Create and manage RESTful APIs and integrate AI services such as LLMs, embeddings, and document parsing tools
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to enhance product features and user experience
• Implement highly optimized machine learning pipelines with quantized models for legacy hardware
• Ensure high code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and debugging
• Proactively solve technical issues and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into our operations where beneficial

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2+ years of professional Software Engineer experience working within a professional or interned environment
• 1+ year in software development, with significant focus on AI/ML-related applications or projects
• 2+ years of experience with proven skills in C++ to integrate Autograd engines for ML workflow optimization
• 2+ years of backend applications development, preferably with Python

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Web Frameworks: Experience with Flask, Django or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with AI/ML: Previous experience integrating third party LLM APIs into systems, trained custom neural networks
• A strong understanding of Prompt Engineering, experience in building custom vector DB's for RAG pipelines and custom Agents
• Experience applying LLMs or generative AI to solve real-world problems (e.g., summarization, RAG, document automation).
• Strong skills with data manipulation and API development
• Experience in or knowledge of the healthcare industry, particularly in managing healthcare data
• Willingness to engage deeply with complex problems and deliver innovative solutions
• Enthusiastic about hands-on involvement and capable of taking initiative in a dynamic environment

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
