About the role

• In this role you would have the outstanding possibility to work on some of the most exciting engineering challenges the industry can offer. You craft and implement reliable, highly parallelized applications hosted on Azure, our public cloud hosting platform of choice.
• In close collaboration with natural catastrophe experts, you lead the implementation and testing of our core applications.

We are a highly motivated, collaborative engineering team that is responsible for building and running sophisticated, scalable and high-quality public cloud applications. Our team consists of architects, developers and test engineers with a shared company mission: to make the world more resilient.

In close collaboration with our business peers and surrounding tech teams we act in true start-up fashion - innovative and cross-functional.

About you

• You have a wealth of experience in building public cloud applications in Java
• Experience in high performance / parallel computing (HPC). GPU programming as a plus
• Understanding of the implications and the trade-offs of different solutions with regards to performance, reliability, availability and security
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative mindset

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 3,800] and [EUR 6,300] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
