Position Title: Software Test Engineer I
Description
Job Overview
AGS is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer I with passion for high quality software. Reporting to Lead Software Test Engineer, the candidate will provide support to development during features implementation. He/she will be responsible to test each one of our platforms. He/she will work closely with Senior Staff Engineers and other departments within the organization. Will collaborate across the engineering divisions in integration testing of new releases or hot-fixes of software solutions prior to releasing to QA.
Responsibilities
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans across platforms
- Perform black box and white box testing
- Setup and maintain test labs
- Reproduce field issues in test lab and escalate issues to the appropriate department
- Create tests ideally up-front but on a just-in-time basis per feature if needed
- Execute tests and improve iteratively as new features become part of regression and other test cycles
- Develop, document, and maintain the test cycles, tests and test steps for software, services and hardware
- Design and implement acceptance criteria, test cases, and test plans for new and existing feature.
Requirements/Skills
- Bachelors in computer science, engineering or a related field
- 0 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance in Agile environments preferred
- Experience in software development, integration, automation and quality assurance
- Experience in writing tests cases and validating in parallel with the team developing the applications
- Familiar with hardware integration
- Perform manual test
- Must be detail-oriented
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
- Must have very good written and verbal communication skills
