Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking a Field Support Manager who will manage the field support team in support of all of Samson's business units and the delivery of after-sale services including training, product usage, installation, repair and maintenance. The Field Support Manager will work to improve Samson's service execution by driving improvements to the field service system and processes. They will also practice a high level of business ethics, quality, professionalism, and safety in all activities in accordance with Samson strategy and core values.
Who You Are:
- A leader who can provide leadership, build teams, manage, and develop staff.
- Interested in traveling to diverse locations including Europe, Middle East, South Asia, Australia, and throughout North America. Travel may be up to 50% of the time.
- A proficient computer user who is experienced with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (or SolidWorks), CRM (Salesforce and associated platforms) with the ability to learn new programs.
- An experienced presenter who can convey information in a concise and effective manner.
- A creative problem solver who can recommend and implement solutions.
- Analytically minded and comfortable working with quantitative data.
- Able to build relationships within all levels of the diverse organization.
- A clear and concise communicator with a strong attention to detail.
- Able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Able to handle confidential and sensitive information.
What You'll Do:
- Provide assistance and/or training to customers with regards to splicing, installations, and equipment inspections. This can be done by phone, in house, or in-field as required. Act as an in-house expert on all aspects of rope fabrication and splicing including developing new techniques.
- Coordinate the team's work schedule and provide monthly reporting on field service activities.
- Manage job request prioritization and escalation of scheduling conflicts
- Set goals for work group, define measures of success, and develop organizational capacity as necessary to achieve goals.
- Develop team members through effective hiring, coaching, performance management, and training.
- Assist team members as needed and oversee resolution of operational issues that affect business objectives.
- Gather technical data from customers and assist the appropriate Applications Engineer in the design of their particular systems or to provide solutions in accordance with the data.
- Support the engineering department as necessary in data collection, research, drawings, etc.
What You Should Have:
Education: BA/BS in technical or business operations; a high school diploma with a minimum of four years relevant field service experience may substitute for education.
Licensure/Certification:
- Ability to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card as needed.
- Have or can obtain a Passport for International Travel.
- Ability to obtain any other certifications/credentials as required for work in the field such as Helicopter Underwater Egres Training (HUET)
Experience: Minimum of three years of related field work experience providing technical support and one year in a supervisory role.

Compensation:
Targeted hiring range for this position is $81,000 - $85,000 annually.
Hiring rate will depend on qualifications and experience.
Samson has established wage scales for all of our positions, which are based on a minimum and maximum. The targeted hiring rate above is set to allow for employees' growth within the role. The full range for this position is $71,800 $107,700 annually.
