The Washington State University Structural Engineering, Materials and Sustainability Program provides a strong basis for a career in professional practice, research, or teaching. Within the University's and Department's curricula, programs of study are tailored to fit individual student needs and interests, whether broad-based and multidisciplinary or narrowly focused and highly technical.

The Structural Engineering, Materials and Sustainability Program offers a broad range of educational and research opportunities. Much of the research effort is in collaboration with the College's Composite Materials & Engineering Center.
