Company History
2009 - Agincourt Solutions was founded by CEO Jeff Chapman to analyze sentiment in multiple languages from content posted on the internet for both commercial and government applications.
2010 - Agincourt Solutions begins to take shape. The Agincourt technology includes Sentiment Analysis in 18 languages, 1 Data Source, and the start of the Infrastructure (a single desktop computer).
2011 - Focus shifted to breaking the Language Barrier - The Agincourt team discovered several gaps in Open Source Intelligence gathering tools available in the market, and set out to solve three major problems: 1) Breaking the Language Barrier 2) Connecting to wide Variety of Data Sources and 3) everything within one pane of glass (behind a single login).
2012 - Agincourt Solutions gains investments and takes on partners. Agincourt Solutions later rebrands to Babel Street Inc. with 5 employees!
2013 - Babel Street's infrastructure and technology grows. By 2013 Babel Street required four servers (via AWS), 20 TB of disk space, and 112 GB of RAM to run., with an additional seven sources available within the platform.
2015 - Babel X takes shape!
2016 - Babel Street launches Babel University and the very first iteration of the Babel Basics training. Babel X uses ~200 servers to run and 43 data sources available in Babel X.
2017 - Babel X can intake thousands of documents per second. 55 data sources are available in Babel X.
2018 - Development and Launch of Babel Box, Locate X, Find X, and Babel Channels
2020 - Babel Street acquired the IP from Dunami and rebrands the core platform to Babel Synthesis.
