MEA Forensic is a multi-disciplinary forensic investigation firm that specializes in collision reconstruction, injury biomechanics, product and material failures, human factors, and aviation accidents for the legal and insurance industries. It is challenging work that is intensely scrutinized in a court of law and often under rigid deadlines; it is also varied, exciting and highly rewarding.

Company History
June 1980. A dark and stormy night. A driver is speeding down Oak Street. A flash of lightning. She drops her lit cigarette. As she gropes on the floor for her dropped smoke, her car leaves the road and hits a pole.
Duane MacInnis, an engineer fascinated by technical puzzles and the litigation process, was asked by a lawyer friend to help answer some questions that arose in the litigation following this crash. Based on a scientific analysis, he determined that the driver was speeding and not wearing her seatbelt. Duane was bitten by the forensic engineering bug, and MacInnis Bigg Associates was born.
Decades later, with 3 offices in North America, the firm now known as MEA Forensic Engineers & Scientists cracks challenging problems in five areas of practice: collision reconstruction, injury biomechanics, human factors, failure analysis and aviation investigations.
