- Careers + Employer Partnerships Manager
Description
U-Maths is looking for an exceptional careers professional to help shape careers education across the national network of University Maths Schools.
This is a rare opportunity to move beyond supporting one institution and instead build employer partnerships, develop national careers intelligence and create a national centre of expertise that every University Maths School can draw upon.
Working with schools, employers, universities and alumni, you'll help ensure that young people with an affinity for mathematics receive outstanding information, advice and guidance about mathematical STEM pathways. You'll also lead national careers initiatives, including employer engagement, careers events and the development of resources that help schools respond to a rapidly changing labour market.
Why join U-Maths?
You'll be joining a small, ambitious charity at an exciting stage of its development, helping to build a new national capability that supports outstanding careers education for mathematically talented young people.
- 30 days' annual leave
- 11% employer pension contribution
- Home-based working with monthly London team meetings
- Workspace available at King's College London
Requirements
We're particularly interested in people who:
- understand careers education and guidance for young people;
- enjoy building partnerships with employers and other organisations;
- are curious about changing labour market needs and mathematical STEM pathways;
- want to influence careers practice beyond a single school or institution.
A Level 4 (or higher) careers qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
There are many different routes into this role. You might currently work in a school, university, charity, employer engagement, widening participation or another careers-related setting. We're more interested in the relationships you build, the insight you bring and the opportunities you create than in where you have gained them.
