The position of Development Engineering Services Manager is located in the Development and Business Services Department. This position performs coordination, maintenance, and supervision of the engineering review and inspection process for private development projects which involves a variety of field, office, or related types of assignments. This position also performs more complex, and advanced review of private development projects. Work of this position requires a high degree of independent judgment and action in planning projects, resolving technical problems, and administering projects within the framework of established policies. This position also coordinates plan review with building, planning and permit tech staff. Supervision of professional and technical personnel is required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline plus three (3) years related experience required; Professional Engineer license in the State of Washington or ability to obtain one within six months or demonstrated equivalent experience and training; valid Washington State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the City’s insurance carrier.
