Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, installation, and customer training for complex analytical instruments. The role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction while supporting equipment performance and reliability.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of analytical instruments.
Install and configure equipment at customer locations.
Provide customer training on instrument operation and maintenance.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues using electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools.
Manage service-related inventory and replacement parts.
Coordinate travel schedules and service assignments efficiently.
Complete administrative and service documentation accurately.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional technical support.
Travel frequently to customer sites to perform field service activities.
Requirements
Requirements
Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex analytical instruments.
Ability to work independently and manage service assignments.
Knowledge of electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools.
Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
Strong customer service, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
