Home of our product development is the Products & Engineering department, which consists of 15 cross-functional product teams across three product domains, working in an agile environment.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (f/m/d) for our Buyer Protection Services whothrives in a dynamic and creative environment, is passionate about shaping exceptional user experiences and is eager to drive innovation while advancing our mission. Your Key Responsibilities as Senior Product Manager (f/m/d):

As a Senior Product Manager (f/m/d) for our Buyer Protection Services, you will play a key role in shaping the long-term vision and driving continuous evolution of our buyer protection system. You will lead initiatives that make this system indispensable to millions of Users, creating experiences they love and trust. Collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and cross-functional Stakeholders across the Organization, you will ensure that every Product decision delivers real value to users while achieving a measurable business impact.

Your profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager with responsibility for launching new products or business-critical features (ideally in SaaS, financial services or insurance-related products)

• Strong strategic thinking, combined with the ability to execute and deliver value step by step

• Strategic, outcome-oriented mindset: You think beyond features and connect your decisions directly to business value, customer needs, and company goals

• Consumer-centric foundation: You continuously seek out and amplify the voice of the consumer, ensuring user needs remain central to every decision

• Growth mindset at heart: You are motivated by growth, not by preserving the status quo. You use data, insights, and bold decision-making to create momentum and scale

• Ideally, an understanding of financial / insurance environments and their technical, functional, data and compliance-related challenges

• Knowledge of SQL is a plus

• Comfort with ambiguity and change: you thrive in environments where not everything is defined yet

• Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus), and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional, international environment, ideally including stakeholders from finance, operations, or risk management departments

• Experience in working with Customer Service and Subscription Management tools and systems is a plus

Programming Languages

Java: Java is used by some of our Tech teams and supports us with components that have complex logic, usually in combination with Spring Boot

TypeScript: We use TypeScript combined with the React framework in the frontend and also on the server side with NodeJS

Python: We often use Python when processing or transforming data.

Frameworks

React: React is used when the performance of our solutions is important. Our B2C environment, in particular, benefits from React (shop profiles, trust badges, widgets, etc.)

Spring Boot: When it comes to complex business logic in Java and Kotlin, we use Spring Boot. It is deployed in ECS

NodeJS: Our focus is on serverless, and we often use typescript in the backend. We mostly use NodeJS in combination with AWS Lambda

Service & Tools

Circle CI: CircleCI is our CI/CD tool for automated builds, testing & deployment

GitHub: GitHub supports our internal open source policy and enables cross-team cooperation and feedback

Ansible: We use Ansible to provide our virtual servers in a repeatable and automated way

Terraform: Our AWS infrastructure is fully managed with Terraform. This allows us to keep a simple history of all changes and minimise the manual effort.

Databases & Hosting

DynamoDB: DynamoDB is often used to access large amounts of data in real time. We regularly use it with AWS Lambda to provide a scalable solution.

PostgreSQL/MySQL: If flexibility of data access is paramount, then we also use relational databases

AWS: For us, it's "cloud first" so that we are able to scale the infrastructure of our products. Here we rely on services such as AWS Lambda, S3 and DynamoDB

Backend Developer

Right now we are working on a new major project for user management and permissions, which is interesting but also complex and has many aspects that will allow it to be integrated into other components. I really like the fact that, as developers within the team, we can decide which technology and programming language we want to use and how we structure the processes. This can sometimes be a challenge, but it helps us gain a lot of new experience. I can work on anything I want to learn about on self-learning days. And of course we have a very friendly and open working atmosphere. Team building events and mob/pair programming sessions also contribute to this.

Jan Beilfuß

Frontend Developer

I am currently working in the Review Insights team. In this product team, we work on frontends that help our customers, i.e. online retailers, to draw valuable information from the collected reviews. I have another colleague in the team from the front-end team with whom I work closely. This starts with the planning and discussion of solutions and ends with the joint revision of the written code. Overall, the working atmosphere at Trusted Shops is very pleasant and relaxed. Thanks to a specially developed platform solution, each product team can build its own micro frontends and is thus independent of the other product teams. This means that you are not restricted in your choice of framework, for example - however, we mainly use the common JavaScript frameworks. Personal development is also encouraged. This year, for example, I was able to take part in a one-week summer school on the topic of deep learning, and we basically have one day a month at our disposal to continue our education as we see fit.

Software Engineer

I'm Jasmin, a Software Engineer in the Questionnaire Team, and I've been with Trusted Shops since 2022. I build features that help our customers collect and use user feedback effectively, working closely with Product and Design from the first idea to golive. I love the mix of technical challenges, ownership, and seeing the real impact of our work. Our team is open, supportive, and collaborative - a place where questions and ideas are always welcome. Trusted Shops truly invests in personal growth and continuous learning. As a woman in tech, I feel empowered and well-supported, especially through initiatives like the Women in Tech Guild, which give us space to connect and shape meaningful change. I'm Nata, Product Manager in the Questionnaire Team of the Business Domain. I've been at Trusted Shops since 2025 and I still notice how much I enjoy working here every day. Thibaut Charprenet

Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer, I work as part of the Advertising Product team. Together, we get to make most of the critical decisions about our products and enjoy plenty of freedom in the way we shape our roadmap.

My daily work never gets boring and always looks different depending on what phase of a project we are working on: in the discovery phase, I take care of the user research and data collection that will inform our decisions. In the conceptual phase, I deliver the user journey and the wireframes before moving to the more final graphic design. Finally, I also drive the user testing rounds or customer interviews to validate our new releases and establish the next UX improvements.

Every step of the way, I can rely on our in-house UX team to help me organise workshops, get feedback or support me with more advanced graphic tasks, such as illustrations and animations. Among the many excellent reasons to join Trusted Shops, the amazing UX team and our great diversity of profiles and colourful personalities would probably be my number one!

Valeriia Gavrilova

Software Engineer

I'm Valeria, a Software Engineer in the Solution Design Team, and I've been part of Trusted Shops since 2022. My day-to-day tasks are centred around providing custom technical solutions for our Enterprise customers. Because every customer has a unique set of needs, I always get the chance to dive deep into complicated and interesting technical challenges. Most of all, I appreciate the supportive and open atmosphere within the company. The team culture is built on mutual respect and knowledge sharing. Moreover, as a woman in tech field, I feel empowered here through various initiatives - from Women in Tech guild to Female Speaker Sessions. I'm Wiktoria, a Software Engineer in the Consumer Membership Team of the Consumer Domain. I started working at Trusted Shops back in 2022. I really appreciate the culture of fostering education at TPS, we get the opportunity to learn new things or get support to do that outside the company as well. I get to talk to people from different departments, which enables me to own my work and gather new experiences.
